Something I’ve been thinking about and just needed to get out.
I’ve been thinking recently about the act of making music. For me, I think I get more satisfaction out of ‘doing’ it than the actual act of releasing it. At that point, I’m moving on thinking about what’s next.
It’s all about ‘Life is a journey, not a destination’. If you’ve not heard that quote before (and there’s a billion variations of it) it’s basically saying that the end isn’t the focus, it’s the effort toward it.
If you’ve ever put music out, can you even remember anything about what happened the day you put it out or shortly afterwards? I have a heap of memories about the process of creating. I cherish the hell out of those times as I was deep into the thing I loved doing.
What are your thoughts on this? Do you think that way? Let me know in the comments.
