Want to add Voice Over to your TikTok posts? There’s a really easy way to add voiceover your TikTok posts. I’m going to show you how to do it.
A while ago I made a video post all about adding voice over in TikTok posts as well as use custom music. At that point TikTok didn’t have a simple way of adding our own voice over so we had to come up with our own method.
TikTok now has a built in Voice Over function for adding a narrative to posts and it’s super easy to do. I’m going to show how to do that as well as combine it with some custom music. This is a fun way for documenting your day by adding voice over to video montages. Let’s go through an example.
Adding Voice Over to TikTok Posts
First of all we’ll open the TikTok app and navigate to our profile page. We’ll then tap on the plus button to create a new TikTok post.
We’ll then record our video we’ll be adding our voice over to. Just tap and hold on the red recording button for the parts you’d like to record.
When finished recording we’ll most likely want to dial back any room sounds, especially if you’ve been chatting while recording the montage. To do this tap on the Sounds option at the bottom to bring up the mixer.
Now tap on the Volume option and dial back the Original Sound on the fader.
We can now go ahead and add our voice over. Just tap on the option on the right side menu.
To add voice over to our TikTok post just tap and hold the record button as shown.
Now if you’d like to add some custom background music too just hop back into the Sounds options and choose Added Sound. You’ll then be able to search for some music.
If you’d like to mix this music so that it doesn’t conflict with your voice over, hop back into the mixer again and adjust its volume. When you’re done you can just click on the Next button and add your post as normal. You’re all done!
