Bandcamp is a service for artists & labels where you can share your music and earn from it without having to go through a third party service like iTunes, Spotify etc.
It’s built with the artist in mind as Bandcamp only profits when the artist does. 80-85% of something sold goes to the artist. The remainder goes to fees. I like how this is black and white. Try finding that information on iTunes etc.
They want you to know they’re pro artist and they even have a fair trade music policy. That’s why I really love Bandcamp as a musician and fan. They have our best interest at heart as it’s mutually beneficial for us to succeed.
In this video I set up a new Bandcamp page from scratch, add some music and release it to the world.
